Democratic vice presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris was in Philadelphia on Thursday. She was interviewed by Philadelphia TV station WPVI. Harris discussed gun violence in major U.S. cities like Philadelphia.
She discussed ways to address gun violence, highlighting background checks and the impact of gun violence on communites.
Harris also blasted President Trump for trying "to convince the American people that they should question the integrity of our election system."
Trump in recent months has sought to preemptively cast doubt on the election, warning that the expected surge in mail ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic will lead to massive fraud and could open the door to foreign countries to print their own fraudulent ballots.
Harris said she and Demoncratic presidential nominee Joe Biden were committed to Pennsylvania's economy.
After admitting that nobody liked to wear a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19, she encouraged their use "in the spirit of love thy neighbor."
