Hillary 'views' her emails

The former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid a visit to an art exhibition in Venice, Italy on Wednesday where she was spotted perusing through her emails. Taking to Twitter, Clinton posted 'Found my emails at the Venice Biennale. Someone alert the House GOP', hinting at the US President Donald Trump's obsession with her e-mails. Trump still mentions Hillary's emails during his 2020 campaign inspite of her not contesting in the polls.

The Hillary Clinton Emails display

The display which was titled "HILLARY: The Hillary Clinton Emails" was photographed by poet Kenneth Goldsmith at Venice. Reports state that it was the first time all 62,000 pages of Clinton's e-mails were displayed in a print format. Capturing the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, Goldsmith shared pictures of Clinton sitting at a replica of the Oval Office Resolute Desk, stacked with her emails. Pictures show Clinton flipping through the copy of her e-mails collected and printed in a book.

Goldsmith has shared that after perusing her emails, Clinton said, "This exhibition is further proof that nothing wrong or controversial can be found on these emails. It makes them accessible to everyone and allows everyone to read them. They are just so boring." Goldsmith has bound the emails into dozens of white books. These are all available for perusal by the public in a "reading library" on the balcony of the supermarket in Venice.

What is the Hillary Clinton e-mail controversy?

According to international news reports, before she was sworn in as secretary of state in 2009, Clinton had set up an email server at her home in Chappaqua, New York. Reports reveal that Clinton used this server for all her electronic correspondence - both work-related and personal, during he years in office. Furthermore, Clinton did not use or even activate, a state.gov email account, which would have been hosted on servers owned and managed by the US government state reports. With this lapse, Clinton had allegedly violated federal requirements. Soon, the FBI conducted an investigation into her emails and concluded in July 2016 that no "reasonable prosecutor" would bring a criminal case against Clinton.
