Morro Bay Harbor Department stated that on Christmas Eve, a male surfer was killed in a shark attack in Morro Bay, California, US. Harbor Department issued a statement saying that after y heard about attack, Harbor, Police and Fire Departments rushed to male victim, who was unresponsive on beach after he was retrieved from sea, as per a CNN report. Department also stated that man was suffering from an apparent shark attack.
Harbor Director Eric Endersby stated that male surfer was discovered around 10:48 am off beach at Morro Bay State Park. Endersby claims that when y arrived at scene a female surfer was assisting victim, but after ir arrival y took control. Endersby believes that assault was recent based on condition of surfer's body, who may have been killed by a great white shark, according to Daily Mail. re were obvious witnesses to surfer's death, but personnel will continue to monitor region in search of shark.

San Luis Obispo County Coroner's Office identified victim
man was declared dead at scene. Endersby ted that San Luis Obispo County Coroner's Office has identified victim and is working to tify about his death to people closest to him before revealing victim's name. Endersby said that it is a trdy and ir hearts go out to family of victim. While beaches in Morro Bay and State Parks region are w open, officials have warned beachgoers to stay out of water for next 24 hours.
According to CNN, Endersby remarked that it is a terrible accident and thanked rain and wind, which have halted surf for time being. He stated that because of rain re are t many surfers at this time. Representatives from state parks are presently examining accident.
