Indian diaspora protests against 1947 'genocide' by Pakistan on people of Kashmir

The Indian diaspora on Saturday demonstrated outside Pakistan Consulate in Toronto, Canada against Pakistan’s attack and invasion on October 22, 1947.

Indian diaspora on Saturday demonstrated outside Pakistan Consulate in Toronto, Cana against Pakistan’s attack and invasion on October 22, 1947. As per ANI report, diaspora in Cana called day a ‘Black Day in humanity’s history’ and chanted slogans including “Band Karo Band Karo, Pakistan Dehshat Gandi Band Karo" (Pakistan! Stop Terrorism), "Kashmir Gilgit Baltistan - Sab Hai Hindustan,” to urge Pakistani government to end terrorism. One of protesters informed that y h gared outside Consulate to demonstrate against ‘gecide committed’ upon people back in 1947 in Kashmir. On October 22, that year, Pakistan Army along with its tribal forces orchestrated an invasion into valley where according to demonstrator was ‘ provocation against Pakistani state’. He ded gruesome crimes that were carried out by forces on people on Kashmir.

"We are gared here to protest against gecide committed upon people of Kashmir in 1947 by terrorist state of Pakistan. On October 22, Pakistan army and its tribal force organised gared forces, led by a Pakistani major that inved into Kashmir, a peaceful Kashmir where re was provocation against Pakistani state and its people... tribal militia committed gecide and raped women and plundered peaceful land of Kashmir," ANI quoted a protestor said.

‘Terrorism is  t right’

Ar protester reportedly said that people h gared outside building to make Pakistan government realise that “terrorism is t right”. Apart from Indian diaspora in Cana, members of Baloch Human Rights Council Cana, Canians for Human Rights Watch, Cana India Global Forum and NIMITTEKAM CANA  also reportedly participated in demonstration. As per reports, entire protest on October 24 was arranged by Hindu Forum Cana and Indo-Canian Kashmir Forum. Meanwhile, Member of European Parliament (MEP) from France, Maxette Pirbakas joined Indian diaspora in Paris to protest outside Pakistan embassy on October 22. 

Ar protestor said, "Today, on October 24, we are protesting in front of Toronto consulate so that Pakistan government realises that terrorism is t alright."
