Joe Biden-Harris Inauguration Day 2021: Schedule, timings and how to watch

inauguration of 46th US President-elect Joe Biden is scheduled to take place around 10:00-10:30 PM (IST) or 11:30 AM (ET) on January 20 amid concerns of potentially armed protests across nation. historic swearing-in ceremony for Biden and first woman US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be one-of-a-kind with a mixture of virtual and in-person attendees owing to alarming situation of COVID-19 pandemic in country. ceremony, which will be held outside US Capitol just weeks after stunning attack by Trump supporters, is also taking place after a chaotic transition with Trump still left to congratulate his successor.

After Pass in Review, Biden will be receiving a Presidential Escort from 15th Street in Washington to White House without a huge crowd. It would be followed by a virtual “parade across America” including a range of performances in communities across nation.

While each US President’s term starts at on ET on day of inauguration, President-elect is required to take oath of office before assuming duties. After swearing-in ceremony, Biden will also deliver his inaugural address.
