Biden campaign issues statement

Reports indicate that Biden's 2020 campaign has issued a statement on September 27 as a response to the information that Donald Trump is spending $8 million on a television ad throwing light on Biden's tenure in fighting corruption in Ukraine. The ad campaign which also includes $2 million from the Republican National Committee (RNC) zeroing on Democrats in important districts has come at a time when Trump is fighting an impeachment inquiry by House Democrats after a whistleblower's plaint which accused Trump of asking favours from Ukraine's leaders to examine Biden and his son Hunter. The Trump advertisement has highlighted Biden's work to make US aid to Ukraine contingent on that country by showing its chief prosecutor out and claiming that he fired the prosecutor because he was prosecuting Hunter Biden. It also accuses Democrats of playing dirty and stealing the 2020 election by impeaching Trump.

What did the Prosecutor do?

Reports also said that the prosecutor had failed to pursue any anti-corruption activities disappointing Ukraine's international supporters. In forcing the prosecutor's exit, Biden was highlighting the official position of US position which was shared by other Western Allies. Meanwhile, Trump has been trailing Biden in theoretical one-on-one polls this year.
