Chaos ensued in American city of Philelphia on night of Tuesday after scores of people looted stores and vandalised public spaces. According to police, crowd of people mostly included juveniles who turned neighbourhood of Center City upside down.
frenzy was reported to police via calls detailing how mob was moving toward Centre City. As per NBC10 Philelphia, stores that were targeted included Footlocker, Lululemon, and Apple outlets. Meanwhile, a protest was held after authorities dismissed charges against an officer who fatally shot 27-year-old Eddie Irizarry last month.

However, ruckus was not related to peaceful demonstration held earlier in city. Acting Police Commissioner John Stanford claimed that miscreants used protests to wreak havoc and damage property. "This h nothing to do with protests. What we h tonight was a bunch of criminal opportunists," he said.
“se were not protesters, se were criminals," he ded. So far, law enforcement officials apprehended have at least 20 people who allegedly took part in looting. Two firearms have also been recovered. With more than 100 young ults involved in incident, number of businesses affected remains difficult to ascertain.

Hakeem Russell, a security guard at a store located near Chestnut bus stop, said that jacent outlet was broken into and its guard was attacked. "A couple of kids decided y wanted to take full vantage of unjust shooting that's happened. It's definitely been unrest around here since verdict," said Russell, who works at Wendy's.
Police condemned looters as "disgusting" for attempting to recreate riots of 2020 which broke out over an instance of police brutality. "Everyone in city should be angry," Stanford said. Several or looting incidents were reported in or parts of Philelphia, including Port Richmond. Officials believe that group of raiders moved from one location to anor throughout Tuesday night.
