 New Jerseyans are expected to face more traffic as y take to ros and sky this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

AAA Mid-Atlantic estimates nearly 1.4 million residents will travel 50 miles (80 kilometers) or more away from home between Wednesday and Sunday. AAA says that’s a 2.7 percent increase over 2018 and highest Thanksgiving travel volume since 2005.

New Jersey Transit is offering early getaway train and bus service on Wednesday and extra service will be available for passengers traveling to and from New York for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Pare on Thursday.
