New Mexico reports 107 new coronavirus cases, 1 more death

Health officials in New Mexico reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and one ditional death as of Sunday. latest numbers from New Mexico Department of Health increase state’s totals to 25,283 cases and 770 deaths.

Officials said 28 of new cases were reported in Chaves County with 22 ors in Bernalillo County. number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people have t been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected with virus without feeling sick.

For most people, new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, especially older ults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
