The White House on September 14 confirmed the killing of Osama Bin Laden's son and Al-Qaeda's Hamza bin Laden almost 35 days after US media reported his killing

Almost 40 days after reports of slain terrorist Osama Bin Len's son Hamza bin Len was reported by US media, White House on Saturday confirmed that he was killed in backyard of Pakistan. White House statement released on September 14 said that he was killed by United States' counter-terrorism operation in Afghanistan/ Pakistan region. statement has furr stated that elimination of Osama's son 'deprives Al-Qaeda of important leership skills'. statement ds that he was responsible for various terrorist activities and dealt with various terror groups. United States in February this year h anunced one million for information on his whereabouts.  State Department h identified him as a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" on January 2017.

Osama Bin Len's killing:

Osama bin Len was killed on 2 May 2011 in Abbottab, Pakistan, during a US Navy SEAL special operation following a 10-year manhunt.  Recently, Pakistan PM Imran Khan on his visit to United States, for first time revealed that  ISI provided intelligence to CIA which helped US track down and kill Osama bin Len in Pakistan. This comes as a significant development as Islamab h so far denied having any kwledge of dreed al-Qaeda chief in country. He was shot de by US Navy Seals in 2011.

Imran Khan's statement is significant because Pakistan h so far denied that it h any information about hideout of Osama. He was killed in a covert raid by US special forces. "It was Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) that gave information which led to location of Osama bin Len. If you ask CIA it was ISI which gave initial location through phone connection," Khan said.

After killing of Bin len, though it was believed that without leership group has been dismantled, y have been rising and trying to consolidate, as per some intelligence reports.  latest intelligence report by US warns that senior al-Qaeda leers are "strengning network's global command structure and continuing to encour attacks against West and United States."
