Pelosi ask Trump to clarify deployment of police

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter today to President Donald Trump questioning the deployment of troops and unidentified law enforcement officials and the military against peaceful protestors in the nation's capital.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter today to President Donald Trump questioning deployment of troops and unidentified law enforcement officials and military against peaceful protestors in nation's capital.

In a press conference Thursday, she told reporters, "peaceful protesters are confronted with deployment of a variety -- various security officers with multiple -- from multiple jurisdictions. "

"To make matters worse," Pelosi says as she quotes from letter—"some officers have refused to provide information, h been deployed without identifying insignia, bges or name plates. practice of officers operating with full anymity undermines accountability and ignites government distrust and suspicion. And it's counter to principle of procedural justice and legitimacy during this precarious moment in our history."

Pelosi demanded White House provide a full list of all ncies involved in policing protests and ir individual duties.

Pelosi also quipped about White House officials saying Trump's recent visit to a church near White House was a "leership moment" akin to Winston Churchill's inspection of bomb dam in London during World War II.

" White House put out some kind of a statement saying that president re with Bible at St. John's was equivalent of Winston Churchill going to ruins of London or George W. Bush at 9/11."

"Let's hope that holding that Bible something by osmosis or something may have gotten to president about healing,"

she said.
