As Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended first day at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 23, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared a glimpse of him meeting with leers of various countries apart from those scheduled. Calling meetings as 'pull-aside', MEA spokesperson posted a video on Twitter with pictures and details of PM meeting with leers of SVG, rway, Kenya, Iceland, Ireland, Indonesia, Luxembourg & Jordan. chemistry that PM Modi shares with world leers is apparent from pictures. PM is seen hugging Ralph Gonsalves of SVG, while he is seen shaking hands with ors, namely, PM of rway Erna Solberg, president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, president of Iceland Kartrin Jakobsdottir, president of Ireland Leo Varkar, vice president of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, PM of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, King of Jordan Abdullah 11 Bin Al-Hussein

Trump makes an appearance at climate action summit
members of UN Climate Action Summit were in for a surprise when US President Donald Trump, on Monday popped in at event, after previously refusing to attend same. According to international news reports, Trump spent about 15 minutes at Summit. Reports state that he h scheduled an appearance at a religious freedom event at same time as same event. He reportedly listened to PM Modi and Chancellor Angela Merkel's dress before exiting venue.

PM Modi at United Nation's Climate Action Summit
Meanwhile, at United Nation's Climate Action Summit, PM Modi on Monday set a 450 GW target for India's renewable energy generating capacity. Stating that protection of nature is a part of Indian trition he said that it is also a part of India's future. Putting principles into action, he said that India plans to increase its capacity to 175 GW by 2022. He also highlighted India's motto 'Need t greed'. "This is my first speech on Climate. Behavioural change is needed with regard to climate change as an international effort. protection of natural resources has been our (India) trition and our future plan. Need t greed has been our motto. An ounce of practice is worth a ton of preaching. Hence, India is t only talking but has come up with a ro map. By 2022, we plan to take renewable energy capacity till 175 GW and aim to increase it till 450 GW," he said.
