PM Modi holds multiple meetings on sidelines of UN General Assembly
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York on Monday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of bilateral meetings on sidelines of UN General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York on Monday, including with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian President Giuseppe Conte and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Ham.

prime minister arrived here on Sunday night to participate in 74th session of UNGA, after delivering an electrifying dress in Houston to over 50,000 people belonging to Indian diaspora at a mega community event, which was also dressed by US President Donald Trump. On sidelines of UNGA, Modi interacted with a number of hes of state, including Merkel, Conte, bin Ham, Colombian President Ivn Duque Mrquez, President of Niger Issoufou Mahamou, Bhutan's Prime Minister Lotay Tshering and Prime Minister of Nerlands, Mark Rutte. prime minister discussed strengning bilateral ties with Italian president, particularly in field of tre and investment, as also cooperation in defence sector.

Discussed strengning bilateral ties, especially in tre & investment, inviting Italian SMEs to India to take vant of low cost production, and cooperation in defence sector," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said in a tweet.

During Modi's meeting with bin Ham, both leers reviewed full range of ties between India and Qatar. Emir of Qatar also talked about prime minister's efforts to make Yoga popular globally. Modi also met with Henrietta Fore, Executive Director of UNICEF, and underlined efforts me by his government towards health and nutrition of children of India.
