Popular American news channel spells Donald Trump as 'David Trump', receives heat

Popular American news channel misspells US President Donald Trump's name as David Trump on a live TV broadcast.

In what can be seen as a major blooper, international television news channel Fox News got the US President, Donald Trump’s name wrong during a live programme and triggered a laughter riot on social media. In a video that is getting viral on social media, American television host Laura Ingraham listed several runners-up for Time Magazine’s 2018 Person of the Year during her talk show.

While she was listing the Times 2018 Person of the Year Runners-Up during her show, which included Special counsel Robert Mueller, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Christine Blasey Ford, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and US President Donald Trump.

However, in a funny turn of events, as she was stumbling in her script, Laura Ingraham immediately took note of the error the US President Donald Trump's name which was spelt as "David Trump". 

“It says David Trump on my sheet, but I assume they mean Donald Trump,” she said.
