Search ongoing for crash remains on Alaska glacier
A team of U.S. Air Force, Army, and National Guard personnel have returned recently to an Alaskan glacier for the search and recovery effort of remains from an Air Force cargo plane that went down in 1952.

A team of U.S. Air Force, Army, and National Guard personnel have returned recently to an Alaskan glacier for the search and recovery effort of remains from an Air Force cargo plane that went down in 1952.
The group were on site at the Colony Glacier to continue a mission to recover human remains and remove debris from the crash.

In 1952, an Air Force C-124 Globemaster crashed into nearby Mount Gannett in the Chugach Mountains, killing all of the 52 people on board.
Teams specializing in crash recovery and human remains have been returning to the site since 2012, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
