Texas students from India drown at Turner Falls, Oklahoma city
Two students from India, studying at the University of Texas drown in an unfortunate event at Turner Falls, Davis, which is nestled at South of Oklahoma City.

Two students from the University of Texas, of Indian origin, drowned at a famous tourist destination in Oklahoma. The police notified that the foreign exchange students died on September 3, 2019. They further stated that the accident occurred at Turner Falls, near Davis. One was apparently said to be struggling in a pool near the falls. Meanwhile, the other one jumped in to help. Both of them failed to resurface.

The Oklahoma accident
The State Medical Examiner identified the two students as Ajay Kumar Koyalamudi, a 23-year-old boy and Teja Koushik Voleti, a 22-year-old boy. Both the victims were students from India, studying in the University of Texas at Arlington. The police informed that the boys did not have life jackets on. The City of Davis is nestled at South of Oklahoma City. Davis hired no lifeguards for the popular swimming hole this year.
A woman from India drowns at Turner Falls
In a similar incident, a woman from India drowned at Turner Falls. The investigators say that the victim and three of her friends slipped off the ledge and fell into a pool. The group fell into a section of the pool where swimming is not permitted. Bystanders were able to save three people. Unfortunately, the woman could not be saved. The body was recovered later and was found out that the victim was a 27-year-old from India who was a resident of the Dallas area.
Turner Falls in Oklahoma attempts to provide an enriching experience. People usually come in looking to camp. Surrounded by pools, swimming areas, sandy beaches and bathhouses, there is also an extensive trail for the hiking enthusiasts. However, as a consequence of the frequent accidents, the Police are looking for ways to make turner falls a safer place for the tourists coming in to have a good escapade.
