Thousands of protesters were marching again in Los Angeles Tuesday as a city-wide curfew was extended to a fourth night. More than 2,700 people have been arrested in Los Angeles since protests and violence began.

That's according to the Police Chief Michel Moore, who apologized again Tuesday for stating previously that rioters "capitalizing" on the mass gatherings have the death of George Floyd on their hands.

Moore said 2,500 of the arrests were for failure to disperse or curfew violations. The rest were for burglary and violence. The Police Department's civilian oversight board met Tuesday and many members of the public who called in to the meeting slammed Moore and called on him to resign or be fired.
