'Truly multi-talented': Joe Biden picks Kashmir-born Aisha Shah in his digital team

The United States President-elect Joe Biden on Monday picked a Kashmiri girl Aisa Shah as a member of his White House Office of Digital Strategy team.

United States President-elect Joe Biden on Monday, December 28 picked members of his White House Office of Digital Strategy team. anuncement garnering global attention, particularly because of appointment of a Kashmir-born girl named Aisha Shah. Indian-American has been named Partnerships Manr in Digital Strategy and is latest Indian-origin dition to incoming Biden-Harris ministration.

Shah has previously served as a digital partnership manr in campaign team of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Shah is currently working as an vancement specialist in Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC. Prior to working with Smithsonian, Shah worked as assistant manr at John F Kennedy Centre of Performing Arts. Shah was born in Kashmir and raised in Louisiana and completed her higher education at Davidson College in rth Carolina. Shah will work under Rob Flaherty, who has been named digital director in Biden's White House.

Or Indian-Americans in Biden's team

Shah is t first person of Indian-origin to be picked by Biden in his new ministration. Earlier, Democratic leer h said that his ministration will be most diverse in history of United States, and to some extent, incoming president has lived up to his words. President-elect picked Vivek Murthy, a surgeon, to co-chair COVID-19 task force. He also picked ar Indian-American Dr. Celine Gounder to be part of COVID-19 task force.

Ar Indian-American, 51-year-old Neera Tanden has been minated by Biden as next director of Office of Manment and Budget. It all began with mination of Kamala Harris as Biden's running mate earlier this year. And after duo secured election defeating incumbent President Donald Trump, several Americans of Indian-origin have been picked by both Biden and Harris as ir staff members in incoming ministration.
