comments come a day after President Donald Trump and his son shared a fresh dose of misinformation about drug in videos that were quickly taken down by Twitter and Facebook.

Scientific studies have shown drug can do more harm than good when used to treat symptoms of COVID-19, but doctors who believe orwise argued for its use at an event Monday in Washington, citing ir own experiences treating patients with drug.

Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., and ors shared video of event on Facebook and Twitter, prompting both companies to step in and remove content as part of an aggressive push to keep sites free of potentially harmful information about virus - though t before more than 17 million people h seen one version of video circulating on web.

On Tuesday, Trump told reporters, "re was a group of doctors yesterday, a large group, that were put on internet and for some reason internet wanted to take m down."

"Maybe y h a good reason maybe y didn't. I don't kw," Trump said, ding that "politically, it's t that popular."
