Trump favors rapid virus testing, weighs funding

The president said he will be briefed later tonight on the question of increased funding for tests being considered in the next stimulus bill.If the health professionals and doctors say that we need to do more, he said, "I am OK with it."

President Donald Trump has resumed a starring role in White House’s coronavirus briefings on Tuesday, returning to podium in press briefing room in hopes that he can shore up support for his ministration’s work amid flagging poll numbers.Asked about state of testing in United States, Trump said he favored virus tests that gave quicker results ackwledging that days long delays in test results were a problem.

He said country has learned so much about disease, and that his ministration will stop at thing to save lives lives. president also refuted earlier statements from press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who said he h multiple tests for virus daily.  "I do on aver take a test every two or three days," president said.
