US President Donald Trump is open to idea of ar ecomic relief pack in response to coronavirus pandemic, White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said on Monday, June 8. She ded that Trump remains in favor of a payroll tax holiday that would benefit low-income families.

Trump vows to veto democratic aid bill

As per reports, when asked about coronavirus White House spokeswoman said that United States was heing in a positive direction while ding that new coronavirus cases in country h stabilised and authorities were effectively tracking and monitoring asymptomatic cases.

Democratic-majority House last month passed a $3 trillion bailout pack. However, US President has vowed to veto bill if it ever reached his table. According to reports, US ecomy entered a period of recession in month of February due to coronavirus pandemic and restrictions opted in order to curb its spre.

United States currently has highest number of coronavirus cases in world. As per John Hopkins University coronavirus database, US has reported 1,956,499 positive coronavirus cases and about 110,932 deaths.

Trump celebrates job report

US President Donald Trump recently championed a job report that showed that unemployment rate in America h dropped in month of May. This comes after initial projections pegged unemployment rate at 20% but data showed a start drop to 13.3% in May from 14.7% in April as businesses began to reopen and hire back workers after lockdown phase.

However, that report states that while overall unemployment rate has gone down, benefit is t being reaped by everyone. African-American and Asian communities in United States have actually seen unemployment rates go up slightly, exposing racial divides in country yet again.
