Trump recalls recent visit to India, claims 'Namaste' easier than shaking hands

US President Donald Trump spoke about his recent two day trip to India and the ease with which he greeted people,as he demonstrated a 'namaste' with his hands.

Amid outbreak of vel Coronavirus and its declaration as a pandemic by World Health Organization, POTUS Donald Trump dressed media about measures being taken to avoid spre of virus. Recalling his recent trip to Indian subcontinent, Trump said  'namaste' greeting was easier than to shake hands and risk any possible health hazards. He also called India and Japan 'ahe of curve' in ir precautions for dely virus.

"You kw I just got back from India and I didn't shake any hands re. And it was very easy cuz y go like this...and Japan goes like this..y're ahe of curve.", said  President of United States Donald Trump.

As of March 11, 2020, re has been a total of 938 cases of Coronavirus in US. re have been a total of 29 deaths in US. number includes both confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 reported to CDC or tested at CDC since January 21, 2020. However, number excludes testing results for persons repatriated to United States from China and Japan.

State and local public health departments are w testing and publicly reporting ir cases. In event of a discrepancy between CDC cases and cases reported by state and local public health officials, data reported by states should be considered most up to date.

"Coronavirus outbreak is a controllable pandemic"

WHO director-general Tedros ham Ghebreyesus on Thursday, while talking to diplomats in Geneva, said that coronavirus outbreak is a controllable pandemic. According to a statement released by World Health Organisation, Tedros outlined two main reasons as to why decision was taken to describe epidemic as a pandemic. Tedros said that one reason was speed and scale of transmission and ors was because "countries are t approaching this threat with level of political commitment needed to control it".
