Trump thanks NASA, SpaceX for 'hard work & leadership' after weather delays mission

US Prez Trump, who was there to witness the liftoff, thanked NASA & SpaceX for “hard work” after bad weather conditions forced the crew to call-off the mission.

After b wear conditions forced crew to call-off ‘historic’ mission of ‘#LaunchAmerica’, US President Donald Trump ,who was re to witness liftoff, thanked both NASA and X for “hard work” as well as “leership”. Even though mission was cancelled just 16 minutes before scheduled take-off time of 4:33 pm ET on May 27, Trump said that he is “looking forward” to join launch which has w been postponed to May 30 at 3:22 pm ET. 

US First Ly Melania Trump also ackwledged rescheduling of momentous mission that h millions glued to live stream of launch across social media platforms. She ted that safety of crew members who were chosen for mission “must come first” and even supported decision of postponing launch to ar time when it can happen safely without any threats posed by wear.

NASA chief on mission delay

NASA ministrator Jim Bridenstine who h previously hailed NASA-X Dragon Crew mission as “Herculean task” anunced postponement of launch citing "safety" of crew members. According to him, it was “top priority” to ensure that US astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken who h alrey buckled up for mission were safe. 

wear conditions h started sounding an alarm hours before scheduled takeoff at 4:33 pm ET on May 27. However, Hurley Behnken h buckled up in Dragon Crew capsule on top of 230-foot X Falcon 9 rocket to ‘#LaunchAmerica’. As of w, NASA informed that “propellant is offloed” and entire launch escape system is “disarmed” while both Hurley and Behnken are safely out of capsule.

With this venture, NASA would launch its first crewed mission from US soil in almost 10 years (since 2011). This is also first time that it h allowed a private company like Elon Musk's X, to run entire show but wear conditions have delayed plans for w.
