President Donald Trump is touting his support of a farm food program in rth Carolina.

"We're here to celebrate incredible work of farmers and faith leaders and amazing volunteers," said Trump during his third stop in state Monday.

"Today, I'm proud to anunce that we will provide an additional one billion dollars to fund farmers to families food box programs, worked out so well. It's worked out so well."

Suppliers pack se products into family-sized boxes, n transport m to food banks, community and faith-based organizations, and or nprofits serving Americans in need.

Food distributors saw sharp declines in business after restaurants and or food service establishments shut down or cut back because of pandemic.

Trump first went to Charlotte, where Republican convention got underway by officially minating him as ir candidate.

He also spoke to supporters before going to farm in Mills River.

Trump will make one final stop in South Carolina before heading back to Washington and be a part of first primetime night of Republican convention.
