Trump's NSA demands China's answer over Covid origin mystery: Wuhan lab or Wet-market?

In an interview to the radio channel, US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said that the burden is on the Chinese to explain where the virus came

In an interview with rio channel, National Security viser of United States Robert O'Brien said that burden is on Chinese to explain where virus came from. He suggested possibility of virus being leaked from a lab in Wuhan and sought China's clarification. "And we need to kw if re was some sort of release. Accidental, perhaps," he said. 

"We don't kw where virus came from. Maybe it came from a wet market in Wuhan. Maybe it came from one of two virology labs in Wuhan, O'Brien ded.

Meanwhile, blaming China yet again for outbreak of global Coronavirus pandemic, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on Friday said that United States is working with or countries to make sure y understand that coronavirus originated in Wuhan, China.

Stressing that burden is on Beijing to explain where virus came from, Pompeo told in an interview that China knew about virus by December 2019 and even after tifying World Health Organisation (WHO), it did t share complete share all of information. He went on to say that China failed to comply with  international health regulations of WHO. "China failed to comply with most fundamental and international health regulations of WHO and did a lot of things and we can talk about m at great length to cover that up."

Trump warns China of 'consequences' 

Earlier, Donald Trump h warned China that it would face consequences if it was "kwingly responsible" for spre of vel coronavirus. Trump, has time and again expressed disappointment over China's handling of coronavirus disease, alleged n-transparency and initial n-cooperation from Beijing with Washington on dealing with crisis.

"If y were kwingly responsible, yeah, n re should be consequences. You're talking about, you kw, potentially lives like body's seen since 1917," he told reporters at a White House news conference last week.
