Trump's spokesperson claims Obama's aide left mean, "You will fail" notes during handover

Donald Trump's spokesperson on Tuesday claimed that the staffers of former US President Barack Obama left behind catty notes in the White House officers for the succeeding administration, telling them, "you will fail." However, the comments first made on an international news portal were responded with denials from the ex-Obama administration.

"We came into the White House, I'll tell you something. Every office was filled with Obama's books and we had notes left behind that said 'you will fail,' 'you aren't going to make it,'" a tweet from CNN's reporter quoting Trump's spokesperson said. 

"This is a complete and utter lie," tweeted Obama administration lawyer Daniel Jacobson in retaliation to the allegation. "Quite the opposite -- we left them briefing books to try to help with the transition as much as possible," he added.

Obama vs Trump 

Trump's predecessor, Obama has been on a receiving end of the US President's barbs and sneers, on everything from his citizenship, to his foreign policy in Syria, trade with China and ironically even the amount of time the former US President spent playing golf.  According to a CNN analysis, Trump's fixation with Obama can be translated into numbers. In June the US President mentioned Obama's name 106 times, 80 times in October, 68 times in July, 61 times in August and 51 times in September in 2019. 

Within just 951 days of Trump occupying the White House, he mentioned Obama 246 times on Twitter. However, Obama has most often than not, refrained from retaliating to the verbal attacks of Trump. Except in September this year, taking a dig at the US President, Obama advised his successor to keep away from social media and cable news, without mentioning his name. Apart from his Presidency, Donald Trump has been infamous for his erratic tweets and long hours of watching the television.

American late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel on October 30, in a hilarious clip, drew a conspicuous contrast between the current and former Presidents of United States--Donald Trump and Barack Obama. The short video put to display the striking distinction between Donald Trump's media address announcing the death of ISIS so-called caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria and the killing of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

In the mashed speeches of Obama and Trump, Jimmy Kimmel mentioned that the former US President's speech lasted for about 9 mins, as opposed to the current US President's speech that was as long as 40 minutes.  In the video, Obama announced that saying "the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound" which was compared to Trump's narration where he said, "They did a lot of shooting, and they did a lot of blasting, even not going through the front door. You know, you would think you go through the door. If you're a normal person, you say 'Knock, knock. May I come in?'"

Obama further added, "After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body." In contrast to Trump's account, saying, "He died like a dog." "His death does not mark the end of our effort," Obama added, which was cut to Donald Trump saying, "A beautiful dog, a talented dog."
