United States reports more than 50,000 COVID-19 cases third day in a row

United States for third straight day in a row reported more than 50,000 COVID-19 cases on Friday. According to reports, US recorded 51,842 positive COVID-19 cases on July 3 which makes it third consecutive day that country has seen more than 50,000 cases in a 24-hour span.

As per reports, one of worst-hit states Florida alone saw 11,458 cases on July 2 which signified second day in a row that state has seen more than 10,000 in less than 24 hours.

Despite continued rise in COVID-19 cases and country being a hotspot for virus, US President Donald Trump claimed during his Fourth of July rally that country was doing fine and was on path to a tremendous victory against pandemic.
