Several dozen Black Lives Matter protesters marched toward a heavily barricaded US Capitol on Wednesday.

The group carried three large homemade signs reading "Expel" and "Expel all Fascists" on the same day the US House impeached President Donald Trump for a historic second time.

Police quickly approached the group when they started displaying their signs at the non-scalable fence blocking the lawn on the Western Front where hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol building last week.

"If you do not leave you will be subject to arrest," a police officer warned several times using a bull horn to be heard.

Some protesters criticized the police, asking "where were you last week?" and criticizing their response to last week's assault on the Capitol.
