US Defence Secretary says, 'Turkey heading in wrong direction'
US Defense Secretary Mark Esper has warned on October 24 that Turkey is 'heading in the wrong direction' in Syria while referring to recent Turkish offensive.

US Defence Secretary Mark Esper warned Turkey that it was 'heing in wrong direction' in regards to Syria, on October 24. He referred to its attack on Syria and deal with Russia to patrol a 'safe zone' toger. He said Turkey has put everyone in a very b situation by launching an offensive in rrn Syria against Kurdish militants who are actually an ally of United States in ir battle against Islamic State. Esper while speaking at a conference in Brussels ahe of a NATO defence Ministers' meeting said, "I think incursion's unwarranted".

He stated that America was against Turkish invasion but y will t go for a war opposite a NATO ally for a land that y did t sign up to defend at first.

US Troops exiting Syria to stay 'temporarily' in Iraq
US Defence Secretary Mark Esper said on October 22 that American troops withdrawing from Syria will temporarily stay in Iraq before getting back to United States. " US decision to withdraw less than 50 soldiers from zone of attack was me after it was me very clear to us that President (Recep Tayyip) Erdogan me decision to come across border", he said. He ded, "I was t about to put less than 50 US soldiers in between a 15,000-man-plus Turkish army preceded by Turkish militia and jeopardise lives of those servicemen. r was he about to start a fight with a NATO ally", he said. Esper stated matter is under discussion for w and it needs to be done soon.
