Even as COVID-19 infections are highest in United States, people who contracted virus are being allowed to cast ir vote in-person in 2020 presidential election. However. COVID-19 positive voters are required to take all possible measures to protect workers at polling stations, US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) said.
"Voters who are sick or in quarantine should take steps to protect poll workers and or voters. This includes wearing a mask, staying at least six feet away from ors, and washing your hands or using hand sanitizer before and after voting," CDC was quoted as saying.
CDC furr informed that those who are eir sick or in quarantine should inform polling station staff upon ir arrival to cast ir votes. CDC has furr vised voters to bring ir own pens and hand sanitizers as y cast ir ballot. United States continues to be worst affected country in world, as over 231,700 people have died due to coronavirus.

Meanwhile, over 100 million people have alrey voted and some states, such as Pennsylvania, will report in-person vote count before moving through absentee ballots. Some 239 million people are eligible to vote this year, according to a report. mail-in ballots could take days to be counted which means winner might t be declared in hours after polls close on Tuesday.
