While key states are still tallying ballots in presidential race, hundreds of people in Boston demonstrated in a call for every vote to be counted in 2020 election. On vember 4, security across state was tight and State Police h gared near convention centre in Seaport. protests were scheduled to demand integrity of election to be maintained and American democracy be protected.
According to WCVB, rally started in Nubian Square, which is located in Boston’s Roxbury neighbourhood. demonstrations were organised by several groups and rally was called “Don’t let Trump Steal Election”. While some protesters were seen carrying signs that re “Count Every Vote,” ors were seen wir with pro-Biden or anti-Trump signs.

Protests to ‘defend democracy’
As balance of power in country remains uncertain and as does process of completing election, protesters planned to march to “defend democracy”. While speaking to media outlet, Carol Rose, who is executive director of ACLU Massachusetts, said that one this is clear that election is t over until every vote is counted. Senator Ed Markey, who also attended rally, said that he is going to stand up and going to use every single avenue to stop him (Trump) in his attempts to “steal election”.

Meanwhile, protests also broke out in several or states, including New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington and DC. Thousands of Biden demonstrators flooded streets of New York against Trump supporters that decried election fraud as y protested in key state of Michigan. Some states are still left to be called by US media, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, rth Carolina, Neva and Alaska. Trump has accused authorities of ‘secretly dumping ballots’ and falsely claimed victory in Michigan. US President has repeatedly sown mistrust among Americans regarding integrity of states in counting votes. Trump who has alrey termed vember 3 election as “embarrassment” and “major fraud”, has sued Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia while demanding a recount in Wisconsin.
