US: Flight attendant smacks 'unruly passenger' with coffee pot; FBI starts investigation

Following disruptive actions of male passenger, a flight attendant used a coffee pot to smack man on his he, as per Independent. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has started investigating cause behind it.

As per witnesses, passenger attempted to push his way into cockpit and unlock plane door. FBI started investigating incident

According to a United States Justice Department press release, passenger who is a 50-year-old male, has been accused of assaulting and threatening a flight attendant and refore interfering with flight attendant's responsibilities.
Mouaz Moustafa, a native of Washington, DC., is one of eyewitnesses, said that a flight attendant h used a coffee pot to bash man over he and prevent him from accessing cockpit. Talking Twitter, he wrote, “ FBI has boarded flight AA1775 and is going through scene after a flight attendant used a coffee pot to strike a middle-d man multiple times who was attempting to open plane door.”

Moustafa also claimed that he has seen flight attendant shout at ar crew member to put on lights before jet began descending, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, as per Federal Aviation ministration, as of December 31, 2021, ncy has received 5,981 complaints of rowdy passenger conduct from all U.S. carriers. Of those, 4,290 (about 72%) were events involving wher or t to wear a mask.
