US 'has potential' to become new epicenter of coronavirus outbreak: WHO
WHO has said that US has the potential to become the new epicentre of the deadly coronavirus outbreak due to a “very large acceleration in infections".

World Health Organisation has said on March 25 that United States has potential to become new epicentre of deadly coronavirus outbreak due to a “very large acceleration in infections” in country. While life in China, where COVID-19 had originated in December 2019 is slowly coming back to rmalcy, fatal COVID-19 has spread to over 190 countries and US has reported 54,881 confirmed cases of virus and at least 782 fatalities.

When she was furr asked if US can become new epicentre, Harris replied that United Nations health ncy is w “seeing a very large acceleration in cases in US. So it does have that potential. We cant say that is case yet but it does have that potential”.
She added that US has a “very large outbreak and an outbreak that is increasing in intensity”.

'Lockdown is t eugh'
Ar WHO official has said that in order to combat deadly coronavirus outbreak, just lockdowns are “t eugh”. This comes as fatal virus has w spread to over 190 countries and global infection count has crossed 4,22,000, which has prompted major cities to go under lockdown. leaders have viewed social distancing as most effective way to tackle pandemic. However, Dr Mike Ryan said that countries should instead focus on “finding who is sick” and n “isolate m”.
In a televised interview with an international media outlet, Ryan has said, " danger right w with lockdowns ... if we don't put in place strong public health measures w, when those movement restrictions and lockdowns are lifted, danger is disease will jump back up." Most of European countries, along with United States have followed strict measures taken by China and or Asian countries in order to stem virus spread.
