Joshua Brown lived in same apartment building as Botham Jean who was shot in his living room while he was just sitting on his couch and eating ice-cream.

'Several gunshots'
newspaper which reported death of Brown, however, did t cite authorities by name for confirmation of report. Local police later told media that many witnesses h directed m to location in apartment parking where Brown was found with gunshot wounds. Brown was later taken to hospital. Purportedly, witnesses even told police about a silver four-door sedan speeding out after hearing sounds of several gunshots.

Guyger trial
Amber Guyger reportedly claimed that she mistook Jean's apartment for her own when she found his door ajar and opened fire, thinking he was an intruder. Brown testified in Guyger's trial about September 2018 night, who was in a hallway on fourth floor. 28-year old victim also heard what sounded like “two people meeting by surprise” and followed by gunshots.
Reportedly, during trial of case, Brown was seen getting emotional many times. He recalled having met Bothan Jean only once, hours before he was killed. However, he h heard Jean's singing across hall every morning.

lawyer of Jean family, Lee Meritt said that he talked to Brown's mor who was shattered with news. Meritt also stated that authorities have t yet identified a suspect or motive behind Brown's killing. Furr, Meritt also believes that Brown deserves same justice he was helping Jean family to get.
