US nurses protest demanding better preparations to fight coronavirus

Amid coronavirus outbreak, the United States nurses on March 11 protested against CDC and called for better protection in the fight against the deadly virus.

Amid coronavirus outbreak, United States' nurses on March 11 protested against CDC and called for better protection in fight against dely virus. An emergency room nurse at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) reportedly said that y need proper protection to keep patients and community safe. Ar nurse ded that ambulance in LA does t have any specific protective equipment against dely virus.

'Lack of preparation'

According to international media reports, last week National Nurses United also issued result of a survey deuncing 'disturbing' lack of preparation at many hospitals and clinics in face of dely outbreak. nursing union also held a dozen protests in almost every state including, California, Illiis and Georgia. union argued that over a third of responders did t have access to protective masks, and half h t received any information on vel coronavirus from employers.

While speaking to media outlet, one protester in Oakland near San Francisco said that resources and training should have been stepped up when virus first broke out in Asia. Ar nurse reportedly said that authorities must create a plan to t only prevent exposure but also to ensure that hospitals have equate staffing. nurses union argue that y weren't trained beforehand and w y should be given proper protection to protect mselves from dely coronavirus.
