Senate Majority Leer Mitch McConnell on March 19 formally rolled out a $1 trillion ecomic stimulus plan to combat ecomic turmoil caused by coronavirus pandemic in United States. According to international media reports, Republican Senator called plan ‘a bold legislative proposal’ and said that he was officially introducing ‘Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Ecomic Security Act’. drafted text must w be examined by Senate Democrats before a date for a vote can be set.
McConnell described major contours of proposal and reportedly said that it will deliver ‘direct financial help for American people’ as well as ‘rapid relief for small businesses and ir employees’. Furrmore, plan by McConnell also includes significant steps to stabilise US ecomy and protect jobs. plan will also be providing more support for health care professionals and ir patients who are fighting coronavirus on front lines.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Mirity Leer Chuck Schumer, in a statement, said that y are beginning to review proposal and on first reing, it is ‘t at all pro-worker’. Pelosi and Schumer believe that proposal puts corporations way ahe of workers. Previously Schumer even reportedly said that plan h ‘virtually inputs from Democrats’ and it was ‘against corporate industry bailouts’.

Trump on March 16 urged US citizens to ‘take it easy’ and that ‘it will all pass’ in a bid to calm people who are panic buying and leaving aisles at supermarkets empty.
