Students of Kennedy Catholic high school in the United States staged a mass walkout after two of their beloved teachers were allegedly fired for being gay.

According to reports, students from Seattle's Kennedy Catholic High School std a series of protests against administration after it anunced that English teacher Paul Danforth and sports coach Michelle Beattie had both vacated ir posts. Students allege that two teachers were forced to vacate ir positions after both of m got engd to ir partners recently. Kennedy School had released a statement on February 14 where it stated that two teachers voluntarily resigned.

Paul Danforth's partner Sean Nyberg took to his Instagram handle where he disputed school's version of events and accused administration of forcing his fiance to resign. Sean wrote that incident is personally painful to him as well as to students who looked up to sacked teachers. Paul furr added that incident will affect young LGBT students who will feel even more shame and guilt. Sean also praised students for bravery y have demonstrated in past few days.

According to reports, archdiocese which is responsible for school's functioning requires employees to live a lifestyle compatible with Catholic teachings. Catholic teachings don't recognise homosexual marri. students of school have reportedly taken matter into ir own hands and are demanding to restore ir teachers' jobs. As per reports, parents are also supporting ir children in fight against discrimination. incident has attracted attention of many national and international media, however, school manment is still to decide on matter as it has been a week since teachers were allegedly fired from ir jobs.
