US to launch reusable space drone X-37B again on May 16, to carry out experiments for NASA
US' secretive space drone the X-37B will be launched again on May 16, said US Air Force. The X-37B will be launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

United States' secretive drone - X-37B - will be launched again on May 16, said US Air Force on May 6. X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV-6) will be launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. sixth mission for reusable plane will be launched in partnership with newly-created US Force, according to US Air Force.

"In today’s of electrons, systems track storms, locate stranded motorists, timestamp credit card transactions, and monitor treaty compliance. Demonstrating department’s invation, this X-37B mission will host more experiments than any prior missions. This launch also demonstrates department’s collaboration that pushes boundaries for reusable systems," said Secretary of Air Force Barbara Barrett.

latest mission is unique because it will also conduct a host of experiments for USAFA and NASA with help of a service module attached to aft of vehicle that will carry an ditional experimental paylo to orbit. " mission will deploy FalconSat-8, a small satellite developed by U.S. Air Force Acemy and sponsored by Air Force Research Laboratory to conduct several experiments on orbit. FalconSat-8 is an educational platform that will carry five experimental paylos for USAFA to operate," according to official release.

"In dition, two National Aeronautics and ministration (NASA) experiments will be included to study results of riation and or effects on a materials sample plate and seeds used to grow food. Finally, U.S. Naval Research Laboratory will transform solar power into riofrequency microwave energy which could n be transmitted to ground," release stated.

X-37B program completed its fifth mission in October 2019, landing after 780 days on orbit. plane has spent a cumulative 2,865 days into orbit- or seven years and 10 months.
