US to work with like-minded-partners; will ensure LAC standoff does not escalate: Official

United States is closely monitoring  India-China standoff in Lakh and does t want an escalation, senior officials of Donald Trump ministration said on Saturday. Given China’s increasingly aggressive behaviour across Indo-Pacific from Himalayas to South China Sea, it’s more important than ever that United States work with like-minded partners such as India, official said. 

remarks of US official comes ahe of an important visit by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Secretary Defence to New Delhi next week.

"As United States, Australia, Japan and India (QU) are getting toger to cooperate on one issue or ar, if re are or countries that want to participate in those discussions or those activities, door is always open"  US ministration official said while speaking at Washington Foreign Press Center.

Qu (Qurilateral Security Dialogue) is informal strategic dialogue between USA, India, Japan and Australia. India earlier this week h anunced participation of Australia in upcoming Malabar exercise alongside US and Japan.
Briefing media, State Department official said foundational concept behind Qu is one of vibrant democracies working toger towards a common vision of a free and open India-Pacific region. Qu is t an alliance and re's mutual obligation among countries who are involved, official furr stated.

US to discuss India-China border issue during dialogue

US will probably discuss border tensions between India and China during two-plus-two dialogue next week, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Dean Thompson h said on Friday. US said that subjects to be covered included regional security cooperation, military-to-military interactions, defence information sharing, and defence tre.
