White House condemns Georgia election worker threats

Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday insisted the White House condemned "threats against anyone," when asked about potential violence in Georgia over the election results.

Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday insisted White House condemned "threats against anyone," when asked about potential violence in Georgia over election results.

A day earlier, a top Georgia elections official lashed out angrily at rhetoric surrounding election and threats of violence that have resulted, specifically calling on President Donald Trump to rein in his supporters.

A Republican who oversaw implementation of state’s new voting system, Gabriel Sterling admonished president and Georgia's two U.S. senators, who are both locked in tight ruff races against Democrats and have called on GOP Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to resign over claims that he mishandled election.

However in her comments from White House briefing room, McEnany quickly pivoted, to blame "leftist organizations," for alleged actions making against president's lawyers' private information public.

"So we're seeing that happen to people on both sides of argument and re's place for that ever anywhere."

McEnany also defended White House's decision to go ahead with holiday parties, even as health officials urged Americans to stay home over upcoming holiday season.

federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that best way to stay safe and protect ors is to stay home.

"If you can loot businesses, burn down buildings, eng in protest, you can also go to a Christmas party," McEnany said.

McEnany also said president was "serious" about his threat to veto National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) over Section 230 of 1996 Communications Decency Act, which protects companies that can host trillions of messs from being sued into oblivion by anyone who feels wronged by something someone else has posted.
