From August to May, Trump ministration h waived off a few countries from sanctions imposed, permitting m to import oil from Iran, however, on May 2 waivers were laid off, to quiver Iranian ecomy. Deuncing sanctions in sternest words, Iran accused US of 'ecomic terrorism.'

In this case, if countries importing oil from Iran- India, Japan, and China, fail to here to se sanctions, could also in response, face threat of US sanctions.

After being pushed by United States, Iran indicated that it would take a U-turn from some aspects of nuclear deal and exceed limits of nuclear deal. Iranian President Rouhani asserted that countries part of treaty, need to help retrench US sanctions, or else, Iran would start enriching low-uranium beyond conformed agreement, thus pushing country a little closer to acquiring a nuclear bomb, with intention to build pressure on European countries (UK, Germany, France)

On May 24, Washington deployed 1,500 troops to Middle East.

June 2019

Marked as a crucial element in crisis, on June 13, two commercial oil tankers were attacked in Strait of Hormuz, world's most significant oil artery, which consequently led to global fluster and soaring of oil prices. Out of two tankers, one rwegian owned Front Altair, and second, Kokuka Courous was owned by Japan. This was second attack on commercial tankers, after striking four tankers back in May 2019.

Within a day, US state secretary accused Iran of attack and backed it up with a grainy video of incident. However, Iran retaliating to claim called it 'ridiculous and dangerous'

On June 17, with a countdown of 10 days for limit set by Tehran, pressure was build on European countries to help ease ecomic sanctions. Furr stated that if European countries intervene, Iran would abide by nuclear deal.

On same day, sending a strong mess to Iran, Washington deployed ar 1000 military forces in Middle East.

Days ago, on June 20, friction between two nations intensified after Iranian forces shot down a US surveillance drone. Both countries confirmed incident.

However, Tehran maintained that military equipment violated ir air and that y h warned US twice before shooting down, while US stood on ground by saying that drone was above international waters, and  Trump called it a 'very b mistake' by Iran.

During entire episode, Twitter of US President spoke volumes of standoff, wherein he explicitly anunced that he rescinded strike 10 minutes before attacking Iran, to retaliate for downing of drone.

Iranian Ministry h stated that Tehran, "responds to diplomacy with diplomacy ... war with firm defence."

In a recent update, US has imposed new sanctions on Iran that is said to block assets in billions.

sanctions targetted Iran's Supreme Leer Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and eight top military officials. In retaliation to which, Iran responded saying that this move has permanently closed 'path of diplomacy' between two countries.

Following sanctions, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamm Jav Zarif said that politicians close to US president 'despire diplomacy' and are 'thirsty for war'

At threshold of this relationship, Rouhani called White House sanctions to be 'mentally retarded' ding that 'strategic patience' of Tehran must t be treated as 'fear'

Global reaction

In entire story between Iran-US, Middle East staunch ally of Trump ministration and regional enemy of Iran, Saudi Arabia will play a crucial role.

Meanwhile, world leers have urged for de-escalation. Russia has accused US of provoking and stoking tensions by pushing it to ' brink of war' and concluded that US drone was shot in Iranian air according to ir military intelligence, explicitly displaying ir stand in conflict.

In meantime, growing angst that Iraq would be pulled in war between two allies, protests emerged in Baghd urging politicians from keeping distance from on-going impasse, as Iraqi government positions itself as a mediator.

Meanwhile, on June 24, Pompeo asked ir Middle Eastern allies Saudi Arabia and UAE to enforce ir surveillance against Iran.

While political analysts have lauded Trump's decision to back off and that US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo and US National Security visor John Bolton should share blame for current scenario.

It is also believed that Trump's decision to back off comes after Iran's response to US aggression would be "relentless and disproportionate."

However, this is also considered as an Iranian ruse to urge US to diffuse US Sanctions.

But fact that Trump alrey has been campaigning for Presidential election 2020, waging ar war in Middle East is unlikely.
