Wis. Lt. Gov says shooting felt like "vendetta"

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers called a special session for Republican-controlled Legislature to take up a pack of police reforms he unveiled in June.

call came in response to police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Kesha, Wisconsin.

Cellphone foot posted on social media Sunday appeared to show police shooting Blake multiple times in back as he opened a door and leaned into an SUV.

state Department of Justice said officers were responding to a domestic incident, but it has t released more details. Blake was in serious condition Monday at a Milwaukee hospital.

Evers and Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes gave a video dress on Monday.

"Let me be clear, this was t an accident," Mandela said. "This wasn't b police work. This felt like some sort of vendetta being taken out on a member of our community."
