Australia: Vets warn dogs might experience separation anxiety once owners return to office

While for past six weeks, people have been living with ir pets and giving m bulk food, taking m for a walk and just being re all time, Veterinarian Dr Kate ams reportedly said that dogs could t get up to a lot of mischiefs and even hurt mselves once everything gets back to rmal.
While speaking to an international media outlet, ams said that dogs are super social and y like ir owners to be around m all time. She said that people going back to work is going to be a ‘massive justment’ for m. She believes that pets can get up to everything from chewing electric cords, or eating stuffing out of couches or ir beds.

ams also said that those who decided to self-isolate and got a puppy will also be suffering as new dog won’t be used to you t being re. She reportedly said that owners might have to install a PetCam and y can also expect los of crying and wailing. Furrmore, ams is also concerned that pooch might even gain a little weight as right w several owners take ir dog for walks at any hour of day and sometimes several times, however, with offices reopening, dogs might be prone to getting a little unfit and unhealthy.

ams even vised owners to taper food that y give ir dogs so that y get into a routine when to eat while y are still around. For cat owners, on or hand, ams reportedly said that y don’t have to worry. According to ams, cats will probably be very gl when ir owners go back to work as y like having house all by mselves.

Australia set to ease restrictions
Meanwhile, Australia is set to ease down stringent social distancing measures. Victoria, a state in country’s souast anunced that its residents would be able to host a maximum of five people in ir homes. Elaborating furr, State’s premier, Daniel Andrews reportedly said that all allowed guests should eir be a friend or a family member. He ded that though re wasn’t any limit on how far people could travel, y weren’t permitted for an overnight stay. However, he warned that strict measures could be re-imposed in case, a number of cases surged.
