Vice President Naidu addresses the Indian diaspora in Sierra Leone

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu addressed and interacted with the Indian diaspora in Freetown, Sierra Leone on October 13 to promote the bilateral relations

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu addressed and interacted with the Indian diaspora in Sierra Leone on October 13. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar also tweeted about.

While addressing the community, the Vice President said that he will always as a matter of pride and priority meet the Indian community. He said it is a very special and warm feeling to meet his friends and people abroad and share his thoughts and greetings from India.

India opens high commission in Freetown, Sierra Leone

He also announced the commencement of an Indian High Commission in Freetown. He said that he is very pleased and elated to announce the opening of an Indian High Commission in Freetown shortly which would bolster the bilateral ties between both the nations. He said the high commission would take care of the needs of the Indian diaspora residing in Sierra Leone. The Vice President affirmed that India is one of the most comprehensive and tolerant democratic nations in the world in which interests of all gatherings including minorities are dealt with sympathy and appreciation. He said India is steadily becoming a favourite investment destination for the world. He added that Indian diaspora, as well as the Indian ambassadors in Sierra Leone, can bridge the gap that connects their motherland with the land that they have chosen to live in.
