Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu has tweeted his thought and prayers hoping for a speedy recovery of all injured persons.

Union Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has been constantly in touch with Indian High Commission in Colombo.
She has also shared assistance numbers for Indians in need at Colombo.

Three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in western coastal town of Negombo and ar church in eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels Shangrila, Cinnamon Grand, and Kingsbury were targetted, killing 129 people and injuring over 300, as per reports.

blasts occurred at around 8.45 a.m. (local time) as Easter Sunday masses were in progress, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena is reported to chair a high-level security meeting .
