Singapore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen playing the dhol as soon as he reached Singapore on Wednesday for an official two-day visit.
PM Modi received a warm welcome at Changi Airport, where members of the Indian diaspora greeted him with dhol, music, and dance. The Prime Minister joyfully participated in his welcome celebrations by trying his hand at the dhol, beating the drum as dancers performed to welcome him on foreign soil.

He also received an official welcome at the Airport. PM Modi is visiting Singapore at the invitation of his counterpart, Lawrence Wong. During his stay, he will meet with Singapore's leadership, including Prime Minister Wong and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and engage with business leaders.
After his visit to Brunei, Modi embarked on his trip to Singapore. He is set to hold discussions with Prime Minister Wong, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, focusing on trade and investment opportunities.

This visit marks PM Modi's first trip to Singapore in six years. He will also meet with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and interact with local business leaders, as noted by the Ministry of External Affairs.
"In Singapore, I will hold talks with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. We are eager to further cement ties in key sectors," tweeted PM Modi.
