Pennsylvania: Former US President Donald Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Four shots were fired, with one injuring Trump's right ear, just few minutes after he began speaking. He clutched his ear and fell to his knees behind the podium, where he was delivering the speech.

The suspected shooter was fatally shot by law enforcement. An eyewitness reported seeing an armed individual with a rifle on a roof near the event, suggesting the shots came from outside the secured area. The incident is currently under investigation as an attempted assassination, Reuters reports. The Secret Service with law enforcement has taken lead in the investigation, working to determine the motives surrounding the shooting.

The attempted assassination of Donald Trump occurred just over three months before the highly anticipated presidential election on November 5, where he is set to face off against President Joe Biden in a closely watched rematch.
