Vietnam's Health Ministry said on Friday a Chinese father and son have tested positive for a deadly new virus, marking the first cases in Vietnam.
The ministry posted on its website on Thursday that Li Ding, 66, from Wuhan, China, arrived in Hanoi on January 13 before travelling south to Nha Trang, where he was joined by his 28-year-old son Li Zichao, who works in Vietnam.

The two travelled to Ho Chi Minh and Long An province where the son lives.
They were taken into Ho Chi Minh's Cho Ray Hospital on Wednesday where they have been treated in quarantine.

The new outbreak, which has killed 26 people, has been centred in and around the Chinese province of Hubei, where the illness has been concentrated around the city of Wuhan.
