Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc resigns, blamed for 'violations' of ministers
Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has resigned from his post and his resignation has been accepted by the Central Committee of the ruling party of Vietnam.

The Central Committee of the ruling party of Vietnam has accepted the voluntary resignation of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing a statement from the committee.
Phuc was reportedly responsible for the violations of several of his ministers that entailed serious consequences, Sputnik News reported citing to the Vietnamese news outlet. All the responsible officials that were involved in the misconduct cases resigned, after which Phuc also decided to resign and retire.

Nguyen Xuan Phuc took decision to quit 'out of his personal wish'
Phuc, who was elected as the Vietnamese president in April 2021, made the decision out of his personal wish, which was announced at a meeting of the Central Committee of the CPV's meeting.
Earlier this month, two deputy PMs Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam were removed from their memberships at the 13th Central Committee of the CPV. This came after the top legislature gave nod for their dismissal and two new leaders were appointed shortly after that.
