Vijay Diwas: Prez Kovind gifts Bangladeshi PM delicacies from Rashtrapati Bhavan's kitchen
President Ram Nath Kovind gifts Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina cakes, sweetmeats and biscuits specially made at Rashtrapati Bhavan for her.

President Ram Nath Kovind, who arrived in Dhaka to attend 50th Victory Day celebrations of country, held talks with Bangleshi PM Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday and gifted her cakes, sweetmeats and biscuits specially me at Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to Dhaka Tribune, Bangleshi State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam said that PM Hasina glly received sweetmeats, cakes and biscuits from President. Kovind, on or hand, shared his delight over mangoes sent by Hasina back in July and said that those were “very sweet and tasty”.
"I think when you have an occasion like this, you also need a personal touch. Rashtrapati Bhavan, house of President of India, like Banga Bhawan, House of President of Banglesh, has its own bakery. y me some sweets and cookies for Hourable President and Prime Minister of Banglesh. And those are, I would say ded touch that is re," Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said.
Moreover, President Kovind also met with his Bangleshi counterpart Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban Presidential palace and gifted something that reflected spirit of 1971 Bangleshi liberation war. Indian President gifted Hamid a replica of 1971-era MIG 21 aircraft which was used in war to make Pakistanis surrender. In a tweet from President's office, it was revealed that an aircraft of same model has been installed at Banglesh National Museum, which is also a gift from India.

President Kovind meets Bangleshi leers
Meanwhile, Kovind on Thursday morning arrived at National Pare Ground in Dhaka in a bid to mark 50th anniversary of Banglesh’s Vijay Diwas. President Kovind attended national event as Guest of Hour after Banglesh President Abdul Hamid reviewed pare at National Pare Ground in Dhaka.
He held talks with Bangleshi PM Sheikh Hasina as well as Abdul Hamid. Ministry of External Affairs apprised that Kovind and Hasina reviewed progress in multifaceted and comprehensive bilateral ties. Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson for Ministry of External Affairs, stated that two leers recalled spirit of 1971 Liberation War and expressed satisfaction at joint celebration of Maitri Diwas.

During his meeting with Hamid, President Kovind reiterated that "Banglesh has a special place in India’s ‘neighbourhood first’ policy" and said that India’s development partnership with Banglesh is one of most comprehensive and wide-ranging ones, according to a statement issued by Indian President’s office.
